WHAT IS STUDY IN INDIA (SII) SCHOLARSHIP
Study in India (SII) Scholarship is a Initiative by Government of India
to award scholarships and tuition fee waivers for meritorious students. The
program offers scholarships called the Study in India Scholarships on an annual
basis, while its partner institutes provide tuition fee waivers. The Study
in India Scholarship scheme covers the admission fees, tuition fees,
accommodation (room and boarding) costs, and food costs. Any costs and expenses
outside the above mentioned are not considered under this scheme. The scheme is
further divided into two sub-schemes, based on a merit list and the Ind-SAT examination.
A set of scholarships are offered based on a merit-list, that is evaluated,
following the document verification process. Scholarship is awarded to only the
exemplary students who appeared for the online-procured, 90-minute Ind-SAT
examination. More than 30,000 tuition fee waivers are given to deserving
students by our partner institutes in the ranges of 100%, 50%, and 25%.
What is IND SAT Examination?
The Indian Scholastic Assessment or Ind-SAT is a standardized online
proctored test for students seeking scholarships with Study in India (SII).
This exam is to gauge the capability and tenacity of students applying to study

What Computer Skills do I Need to
Appear for IND SAT Examination?
The IndSAT exam requires only minimal
computer skills. In all the sections, you will select your responses using
either your computer mouse or the keyboard. The test requires basic computer
navigation and functions, such as clicking on tabs and using drop-down menus to
sort tables and select answers.
What
are the system requirements for the IndSAT test?
- Candidates are requested to check for system compatibility in
advance through the link provided in the email which has been used to
apply at KIIT through Study in India. Here are some other essentials for
you to note.
- The candidate is advised to take the
assessment on a laptop or desktop only, equipped with Windows Operating
System.
- We recommend using the latest version of
Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for seamless experience.
- Candidate needs to ensure that they have good
and consistent internet connectivity of more than 500 kbps.
- Before starting the test, close all chat
windows, screensaver, etc.
- The candidates are required to download the MSB
(Mettl Secure Browser) from the button provided in the invitation email.
What
documents are required for the test?
After completing a system
compatibility check, candidates are requested to check the following during the
authorization process in regards to login details and identification
proof required.

are required to keep handy and upload a valid Photo-ID (attached during
registration) of any one of the following documents during the authorization

Capture a live snapshot of your face and kindly ensure that the snapshot must

5. Secondly, you have to capture
the snapshot of a valid ID proof in such a way so
that the name and the photo on the ID card should be clearly
visible.

In case we do not receive the above snapshots with clear details, the candidate
shall be
asked to resubmit them again.
We request you to be patient and cooperative as this is an
extremely important process on the registration page, you are required to enter
your Login ID (which is the 8-digit numeric part of the SII ID followed by
edcil.com. For e.g., if your SII ID is SII-S-00012345, then your
Login ID will be 00012345@edcil.com) and start the test. In case if you are not
entering the correct ID, you shall get a notification “Login ID not
authorised”. All students can find their SII ID on the top of the Student
Dashboard, when they login with their registered email ID at the Study In India

How will the proctoring be done if I give exam
from home?
All candidates must
note that this is an online-proctored test and examination, which will have a
Proctor who shall keep check of your activities while you are appearing for the
exams.

The test shall be proctored remotely. Keep a check on the chat
window for any communication from the Proctor.
·
The Candidate is required to follow the instructions of Proctor
seriously.
·
The candidate’s test shall be
paused, if any suspicious behaviour/activity is observed.
·
In case the Proctor finds any suspicious eye movements or any
suspicious activities in the test environment, then the
Proctor has the right to ask the candidate to rotate themahhue3btr#w2web
camera 360 degrees to check the test environment.
·
Despite repeated warnings from the Proctor about suspicious
behaviour by the candidate, the test shall be called off.
Can
IND – Sat examination given by smart Phone?
No, the final examination is only
possible either through Laptop or computer system with web camera. You can
write this examination at any cybercafé if you don’t have computer system at
your home.
Which
are the countries where student need to write IND Sat examination to
get SII Scholarship?
There were only few countries where
IND Sat was conducted successfully last Year (2020 intake) and the scholarship
was offered based on merit but this year there is a high chance of conducting
IND Sat examination throughout the world. So, I advise all the students to
prepare IND Sat Examination and get familiarised with the test. There are
multiple coaching Institute who prepares students for IND Sat at free of cost.

a student will come to know whether to appear for IND Sat Test or not?
It
is sure that above mentioned counties will have Test so all the students of
these countries are requested to get themselves prepared for the test.
However,
students of other countries which are not in above list need to wait for the
updates from study India regarding test. This update will come once the
application deadline is closed.
Due
to Present situation of India, the Ind Sat Test may be in the month of June end
or July. Other precautions to be taken during IndSAT examination
To avoid any acts of
suspicious behavior, here are some guidelines to appear for the online
proctored test.
·
Candidate needs to face the camera at all times during the exam.
·
Ensure that the candidate face is visible properly and there
should be sufficient lighting the room.
·
Candidates are not allowed to use Google or any other search
engine to surf for options and answers.
·
It is a closed book exam. Candidates are not allowed to use any
reference material. Candidates must not move away from their seat during the
course of their exam.
·
Use of any electronic device, mobile phones or any other
electronic devices, calculator is prohibited during the test and shall entitle
cancellation of your test. Rough papers are allowed and an onscreen calculator
will be available in the examination.
·
Candidates must not talk during the entire duration of
examination.
·
Candidate must not read the questions aloud.
·
There are no breaks during the exam.
·
Candidates are not required to wear headphones.
·
Candidates are not allowed to have food & beverage during
the exam except water.
·
The candidate is advised not to toggle between the assessment console
and other applications, else your system will get locked and the test will
be cancelled.
·
Do not press F5 to refresh the assessment console during the
examination else your system will get locked.
·
Candidate needs to ensure no other person is in the room or else
your exam will be cancelled.
·
No candidate should adopt to any unfair means, or indulge in any
unfair examination practices.
·
The candidature of candidates will be automatically cancelled
without any notice, in case of impersonation.
An Ind-SAT Support / Help Desk will be created for
candidates facing any difficulty. Please be careful, this test is remotely
invigilated by a proctor. If you do not adhere to the instructions, rules and
regulations, the invigilator has a right to terminate your test.
